We evaluated CK18 and its filament partner, CK8 expression, by immunohistochemistry in 210 resected specimens from people with oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). We also analysed the connection between their expression and a variety of clinicopathological parameters including prognosis. The urothelium is composed of a few cell varieties:
